Jaco Beach is in the Central Pacific tourist zone 2 hours from San Jose and Costa Rica's principal international airport. The guard's casita is next to the main entrance with 24-hour guard service. The entire common area is lit at night and protected by discretely placed sensors.

25 m from the entrance on Calle Barahona is the Jaco Beach Village management and vacation rental office. In the same building is a surfing shop offering surfboard sales and repairs, tours and instruction.
